Expanded metal is a product formed by placing staggered cut in a metal plate with a special machine and simultaneously spreading it to create a diamond shaped or hexagonal shaped mesh.
Since it is made from one-sheet plate, it has strength and there is no concern about tangling or fraying of mesh.
